After School Program

Valor Academy Middle School provides free after school programming every school day through After-School All-Stars. All students are eligible to enroll in the after school program, and participation is strongly encouraged but not required. After-School All-Stars provides programs and opportunities for students to develop the skills, knowledge, and habits needed to succeed in school and life.

After-School All-Stars provides academic learning support, including homework assistance, and enrichment activities such as visual and performing arts; health, fitness, and nutrition; and youth leadership and community service learning. Students who participate in the program will remain on campus after the academic day ends.

Clubs & Sports

Valor Academy offers various clubs run by teachers, and they vary from year to year. We highly recommend all students participate in at least one club each year. Students will be made aware of any clubs they may sign up for at the beginning of the year.

Valor Academy also offers various sports throughout the year including basketball, volleyball, flag football, soccer, and Students Run LA (see below). Cheer/dance and wrestling are also offered through our after school program (through After-School All-Stars).

Students must sign up for these sports, and must be in good academic standing (minimum 2.0 GPA) in order to participate. Some sports teams require tryouts.

Students Run LA

Additionally, our Lions can participate in Students Run LA (SRLA), an opportunity to train alongside their volunteer teachers to complete the Los Angeles Marathon.

Through this life-changing experience, students discover their best selves and learn how to make plans for the future.
