A New Name for a Top School

Today, we announced an exciting change: Bright Star Secondary Charter Academy is now Stella High Charter Academy!

With a new name, refreshed logo (see above), and a recent ranking in the top 7% of high schools nationwide (US News & World Report), Stella High Charter Academy and the future of our Eagles continues to be incredibly bright!

We changed our school’s name to Stella High Charter Academy to unify Bright Star Schools’ Stella Academy elementary, middle and high schools. We’re proud to stand with our students for nearly 20 years – from their first day of transitional kindergarten to graduation from higher education – and we want our school names to show that pathway.

At every grade, Bright Star’s Stella Academy schools provide students in our communities with a joyful, high quality, and 100% free education that prepares them to thrive in higher education, career, and life.

The History of our Stella Academy Schools

We’re proud that our Stella Academy schools have served the communities of West Adams, Baldwin Village, and South Los Angeles since 2003.

We look forward to continuing to support our Stella Academy students at every grade, and for 6 years after graduation from Stella High along their individual higher education pathways.
