Valor Mentorship Program Featured on Telemundo, LA Daily News

We’re thrilled that the LA Daily News and Telemundo recently featured our Valor schools’ Big Brother-Big Sister mentoring program!

To provide all of our students with robust support, Valor Academy Elementary and Valor Academy High schools launched a Big Brother-Big Sister program.

The program pairs 4th grade Valor students with Valor high school students to support one another, improve attendance and academic achievement, and uphold school values, like respect.

As Pablo M., a 4th grader at Valor Academy Elementary School said, “I get to know what it feels like to have a big brother, which I’ve never had.”

He shared that his big brother told him that “while life may be challenging, I must never stop doing what I love. I want to be an engineer.”
