Dr. Emily O'Neal is honored to serve as the principal of Valor Academy High School. At Valor, we are the Lions, and this year's mantra is "Protect the Den." Dr. O'Neal believes the Den is where belonging begins. When students feel seen, safe, and known, they develop the confidence to embrace wonderment, take risks, build resilience, and find joy in learning.

She is committed to building a culture of rigor, belonging, and opportunity by creating access, aligning people and systems, and expanding opportunities for every Lion.

Originally from the Chicago area, Dr. O'Neal brings more than 20 years of experience in education, including eight years as a principal and four years as an assistant principal.
