Bright Star Schools "isn't just a place where my son learns, it is a family that has helped us in the most devastating time," said Bright Star parent Francisco Perez to the LA Times.

The Perez family -- son Frankie, a Bright Star student at Rise Kohyang High School, mom Jeniffer and dad Francisco -- have all been awarded $5,000 COVID Retraining and Recovery Fund (CORE) vocational scholarships from SoLA I CAN Foundation through a partnership with Bright Star Schools.

“Bright Star Schools is proud of nearly 20 years of comprehensive student support, which includes providing more than 1,000 alumni with six years of individualized assistance in higher education,” emphasized Hrag Hamalian, executive director of Bright Star Schools.

"We are grateful for the partnership with SoLA, which makes this life-changing opportunity possible for families so that they too can pursue success in higher education," adds Hamalian.

Congratulations, Perez family! Read the full story on the LA Times here.
