Dr. Anasia Obioha

Dr. Anasia Obioha, Ed.D, serves as Director of Communications & Development for Bright Star Schools, where she leads the organization’s communications, marketing, storytelling, and fundraising efforts. In partnership with teams across the network, she works to elevate Bright Star’s impact, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and advance the organization’s long-term sustainability.

With more than 20 years of experience in communications, public relations, and executive leadership, Dr. Obioha has built and led strategic initiatives across the education, healthcare, nonprofit, and corporate sectors. Her expertise includes brand strategy, media relations, executive communications, community engagement, and organizational storytelling. A passionate advocate for educational equity and leadership development, Dr. Obioha is committed to amplifying the voices of students, families, and communities.

She holds a Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California, an MBA from Woodbury University, and a Bachelor’s degree in journalism from Michigan State University.
