Students Awarded College Scholarships

Bright Star Schools Students Receive Full Scholarships to Top Colleges

We’re proud to announce that four Bright Star students have been awarded full four-year scholarships to prestigious universities across the country!

Three students have been selected as Posse Scholars by the Posse Foundation and one student has received the QuestBridge college match scholarship, two of the most sought-after awards for students seeking access to higher education.

The 2022 Bright Star Schools Posse and Questbridge scholars are:

Posse Scholars

• Karina A., from Rise Kohyang High School, who will be attending Pepperdine University;
• Andrea J., from Bright Star Secondary Charter Academy, who will be attending Northwestern University; and
• Afrin R., from Bright Star Secondary Charter Academy, who will be attending Dickinson College.

Questbridge College Match

• Kimberly H., from Bright Star Secondary Charter Academy who will be attending the University of Notre Dame. Kimberly also received the Susan Steelman Bragato Scholarship from the California Charter Schools Association.
